Over the weekend from 6 - 8 November 2020, twenty-one men were hosted by Te Rangimarie and Rob Carter at the Manu Wairua Spiritual Retreat near Ngaruawahia. Grant Shepherd and Tony Thorn co-facilitated this event: Sweat Lodge: Focus on Conscious Sexuality and Tantra for Gay Men. This first of its kind event in New Zealand combined the powerful ritual of the Native American Sweat Lodge with profound tantric teachings on intimacy.
